    SUMMARY  Sells the Club Med product & provide information on packages to Gentils Membres (GMs) & travel agents, upsells with acceptable “talk-time” and call control by performing the following duties:

     

    • Primary responsibility is to drive and convert sales.
    • Collect and enter reservation information into computer reservation system, read data return to determine space availability and price.
    • Read & figure member and agent accounts, determine package prices, membership fees, taxes and commissions.
    • Explain Club Med policies and procedures.
    • Provide outstanding customer service to GMs and travel agents.
    • Reference collateral material to include brochures, application manuals, promo charts and memos.
    • Explain add-ons and sporting activities.
    • Utilize sales training, quality assurance feedback and Trusted Advisor® skills
    • Build outstanding rapport with every caller.
    • Maintain enthusiasm & professionalism on all calls while utilizing proper phone etiquette.
    • Ask for the sale on every potential sales call.
    • Make outbound calls to reinforce the sale and attempt to collect payment for files on option.
    • Fully recap every reservation by verifying details of bookings for accuracy and completeness prior to taking payment.
    • Consistently maintain Standards of Quality.
    • Act courteously and respectfully to all GMs, travel agents and co-workers.

    Specialized Skills Required After Training

    • Familiarity with Club Med Villages
    • Expert knowledge on North American zone villages
    • Expert knowledge on the workings of a Club Med village
    • Continually keep updated on changes in product

     

    Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE  (3) High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and at least one year sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

     

    LANGUAGE SKILLS  (3) Bilingual (French/English) preferred.  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization

     

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS  (3) Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. 

     

    REASONING ABILITY  (3) Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    CLUB MED  Type 35-40 wpm. Must be flexible, adaptable to constant change, and continually keep updated on changes in product. Strong verbal and reading comprehension skills required.  Must have excellent sales skills be able to handle multiple tasks.  Computer and telephone skills required.  Ability to maintain a professional, upbeat and service oriented attitude.  Telephone sales/marketing experience and broad geographical knowledge preferred.

    SIGN ON RAMP UP BONUS: There is a $1000 sign on bonus. The first installment will be paid after your completion of 6 months. The second installment of $500 will be paid at your completion of 1 full year (must be employed with Club Med).
